Footpath from Mevagissey to Heligan Gardens

Buses: Western Greyhound service 526 departs from the Ice Dream  

shop (see map) on each hour (4 mins past odd hours). 

Return from the gardens at Hr+55

Footpath to Heligan Gardens runs from just beyond the 

children’s play area (on road out towards St Austell) and is

approximately 1½ miles from where it leaves the road.

The path is uphill through woods and

farmland and you should allow 50 minutes

there & 40 back (downhill!).  The path can

be muddy in places after heavy rain (cycle track is a

little longer but easier in wet weather).

On foot: Follow road out of

village towards  St Austell.   

Branch left at sports centre

(cycle path runsparallel to the

  road initially).  Leave cycle

left, 50 yards after passing
